Qualitative Reasoning

The Qualitative Reasoning (QR) community develops qualitative representations and reasoning algorithms to understand the world from incomplete, imprecise, or uncertain data. Topics include:

  • Qualitative modeling in physical, biological, and social systems
  • QR in AI: common sense reasoning, diagnosis, design, and learning
  • Integration with ML: learning qualitative representations, improving ML with QR
  • Cognitive & human reasoning: conceptual learning, decision-making, spatial reasoning, ...
  • Applications: robotics, education, science, engineering and more ...
